Help with a problem

I’ve having a hard time figuring out how to do this problem, help would be greatly appreciated
(It’s from the kaplan 2006 book, by the way)
carolyns basketball team made 1 point, 2 point, and 3 point shots during their last game. twenty percent of their baskets were worth 1 point, 70 % of their baskets were worth 2 points, an 10% of their baskets were worth 3 points. to the nearest tenth of a point what was the average point value of the shots made by carolyns basketball team?
A.) 1.4 B.) 1.7 C.) 1.8 D.) 1.9 E.) 2.0

lets act like they made 10 shots

2 points from 1 point shots (2)
14 points from 2 point shots (7)
3 points from 3 point shots (1)

19/10 = 1.9

you add up 20 (1 pointers), 140 (2 pointers), and 30 (3 pointers) to get 190. now divide it by 100 to find the average, giving you 1.9

answer is D.
