What is the top thing colleges look for besides excellent grades and good test scores?
Is being an asian tennis, piano, violin player too typical?

hey azn balla.

OP- What do you intend to declare as your major?

passion! Show passion for whatever you do. Not only will it make things easier and more enjoyable, colleges will see that you are dedicated and passionate about things. Colleges don’t want robots that all do the same thing. They want diversity and people with diverse interests that will make for an exciting and interesting college campus. Therefore, my advice to you is to simply do what you love and have passion for. Do what you like and what you want to do. Do not do something simply because you think it will increase your chances at admissions.

The rigor of your curriculum is next after grades and scores.

I want to be in pre law

My advice is don’t change anything about you in order to gain acceptance to a particular college… be yourself and pursue your passions. Everything will work out and you will be happy wherever you if you do this. BTW, a pre-law Asian is slightly less common than a math and science Asian : )
