Help with Cal Grant for USC?

<p>Hi, so I qualify for both Cal Grant A and Cal Grant B. I did not understand why someone would choose B over A, so did some research (thank you collegeconfidential) and found out that for UCs it is better to go with B than with A. But I am going to USC. If Cal Grant A is on hold and B is not (but I qualify for it), can I switch to B and have USC cover the 9k A gave me in their financial aid package? I really would like to have the money directly from B to help pay for books and other expenses/family contribution but am not sure if USC would not cover the difference. There is so much information about Cal Grant for UCs but practically nothing about private institutions. </p>

<p>Call financial aid at USC and ask. They can advise you unless there is someone’s else on the forum that could advise you.</p>
