What would be a good fit for me. I would love to go to Northwestern or U of Chicago, But I’ve been told that is not possible.

ACT 28
GPA- U 4.02 W 4.56
Rank 148/533

Plan on Pre-Med curriculum

Could use some merit aid, But who couldn’t.

Thanks

Well, at least your friends aren’t lying to you

Was that necessary.

Entirely necessary. Necessary to the nth degree.

The only information you give is class rank, GPA, and an ACT score coupled with two colleges you have no chance of getting into. You don’t give a location, any ECs, any REAL interests besides an intended path which you could follow pretty much anywhere. So, there’s not really any colleges to suggest considering; there are thousands of colleges and universities with which your stats could fall under - so start sifting.

Great thanks, Mr. know it all.
I was interested in alittle help, not to be reprimanded by a jerk!

If you want to be a jerk, find somewhere else to post.

I’m sorry but that is the truth - if you don’t want to accept it then continue being delusional. I was TRYING to facilitate you giving more information, but you obviously don’t want to do that. The fact of the matter is that there are too many colleges to list based off that information. Even if you give a whole page of information, any suggestions need to be taken with a grain of salt because YOU are only a user name, an anonymous person hiding behind these forums. Only people that actually know you best, primarily yourself, can tell you what will be a good “fit” because that term is incredibly subjective. Now, if you provided more information…

Sincerely,
Your-Friendly-Neighborhood-Know-It-All ;p

You are obviously just an angry person. sorry I ruined your day.
By the way, you where no help at all.

Just go away now.

I’m guessing you are somewhere in the Chicagoland area. Regardless, you might want to look into Loyola University in Chicago. Your ACT score is more in range for that school. Not to say that your score is bad but it is below the typical range of scores for UChicago and NU.
LOYOLA
Middle 50% range on ACT composite: 24 - 29
My sister applied with a 29 ACT and recieved the Presidential scholarship with admission… Something like 14,000 per year. She’s not attending but thats beside the point…
Pretty good medical program there.
Also look at:
Case Western Reserve
UIC
U of Minnesota
Boston University

4/5 are in the midwest since I’m assuming that’s where you’re from

Tinfoyl is right, samandrocco. We can only help you as much as you help us, which means it’s very necessary for you to provide as much information as you can.

^Oh is he right? that’s not a problem, but all you have to do is ask. you don’t have to belittle someone into it. some people need to learn manners. I sure hope neither of you are teachers!

It was arrogant and unnecessary, yes. But a valid point.

Anyway, we’re getting nowhere here. You made this thread to get help and you’ve gotten none so far. As soon as you post more information I’d very much like to start offering suggestions.

Thank you, Flyingeagle1994, That helps me to start my quest. I’m sorry you had to read between the lines and assume information. It would have helped if the mean old person would have told me what info to post. and yes I am from Illinois.

Thanks again and have a great day.

See how that works Tinfoyl and RaVNzCRoFT.

You didn’t tell us where you live, any of your extracurriculars, your SAT (if you took it), any APs, what size school you’re looking for, etc.

Plus, I didn’t do a single thing in this thread that attacked you in any way. I agreed with a person with whom you disagree, and somehow you think I’m arrogant for doing so. Maybe it’s because it’s so difficult to determine someone’s tone over the internet, but I’ve wanted to help you this whole time.

Don’t be haughty and stop flattering yourself. If you read my post, I explicitly stated a few things to post like ECs, location, and I even gave you a bit of advice about the whole CC thing because the person who knows which college is the best “fit” is you alone. If you provided a list of colleges yourself, then people could talk about each one, and you could see if it fit your personality. “Fit” doesn’t mean academic fit - you need to learn that. You want the truth? Flyingeagle literally just picked five colleges out of a hat based on your ACT scores alone. Only you and your family/friends know you the best - maybe if YOU came up with a list of colleges then people could talk about them, and in that light, you could see if they “fit.”

By the way, I always thought teachers assigned homework to make their students learn, not to do it for them! SHAZAAM!

“Well, at least your friends aren’t lying to you”

^Sorry but that’s plenty of reason to be mad… let’s put the claws away…

Look into St Olaf in Minnesota.
