Help with concentration?!? --Geography

Hey guys,

I am currently a Geographic Science major and looking for some help as to what concentration i should pursue. I am debating between GIS(Geographic Info Systems) and ECSD( Environmental, Conservation, Sustainability, and Development). As of now, the geographic field is expanding and many of the future jobs will be in the GIS field. the field has many lucrative jobs and seems to have many opportunities, especially with my proximity to the Washington D.C. area. The only problem is I am not sure I want to be behind a desk all day building databases and creating maps from Arcmap.

If i chose to go the other route, ECSD, I am not sure if the quality and quantity of jobs will be out there. I enjoy the physical and social dimensions of geography and feel like this feeds into my personality more but am scared off by vagueness of the concentration. My ultimate goal is to get into urban planning or commercial real estate but not sure which route to go. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
