My Autistic son graduated QCC and then went to Old Westbury for 1 semester. We saw that none of his previous classes transferred over so we enrolled him in Farmingdale. We just got acceptance into Farmingdale but were told they are not accepting 9 credits needed to continue with the excelsior scholarship and could be made up only in Summer or Winter classes. Since Summer is now past that only leave Winter to make up 3 classes which they don’t usually allow. My son is a straight A student and if we knew about this sooner, we would have gotten him into a Summer class. It does not look like Farmingdale is going to be much help and we could lose the scholarship. We have a meeting with Excelsior but in a few weeks. Any ideas on what we can do? Does anybody have a direct phone number to somebody at Excelsior? Thanks.
