Help With Mutiple Choice Tests.

I’m a sophmore and I’m taking AP World history and AP European history. I really rock at the essays and all but I suck at the mutiple choice part. How can I imporve on that? Because nothing seems to be working.

read the textbook again. That is what I do. Other say buy yourself a study guide

Reading it again…? Thats a good idea…

It is.
Thats the only way you will learn the material.
Read the textbook slowly and take your own notes.
It takes time, but it is worth it in the end

I agree. Besides, every Friday, I have test for two chapters a week. Each test composes of fifteen to twenty MC questions, two to four short answers questions, and a document analysis. What really helps with answering the MC questions and short answer questions was that I read the chapters and that my teacher expects to take notes as homework. I probably have the highest test score average because I did my notes thoroughly (unlike most of my classmates) and reread the chapters. But if you’re preparing for the AP exam, most people rather read a Barron’s study guide than reread the thousand-pages textbook.

SO like I did read the chapters we are up anbd i improved my mutiple choice tests like by 10 more right. I’m so happy!! Now if only i could do better in Algebra 2…

Algebra 2? it’s hecka easy. Do what you do in history - read the textbook. If you don’t get a problem, then go to the example. If you don’t get the example, then analyze the steps in the example.

GEtting it is not my problem. I understand Algebra 2. It’s as soon as i get the test I freak out becasue a million other things go through my head and then I panic and can’t remeber anything.

The best practice for the MC questions is to work with real questions. For released exams go to the College Board Online Store. You’ll find two released exams for World History and two for European History. Good luck.

so you have test anxiety for algebra 2. well, i have no cure for that.

I agree with Old Hickory, best practice for MC is to wo rk w/ real questions. For me, reading textbooks sucks, too much misc info. Reading through my study guides really helped me get 5’s…except for French, people are bound to fail language AP exams. lol
