Thanks so much in advance for all the help!

If you haven’t already, get a copy of the Fiske Guide to Colleges. It will help you put a sharper focus on what you’re looking for in a school, and then help you find some that fit.

You should be able to take your list and check the web sites of the schools for the cost of attendance to throw out those schools over $25K (like Drexel).

WA state and one or both Oregon schools are part of the WUE (Western University Exchange) program with California. This means you can get a tuition exchange to some degree (pay at the California in-state tuition rate), sometimes full sometimes partial. Check out the website, it may be worth your effort.

Drexel will offer a great co-op program, with a chance to earn money toward tuition & expenses. But it doesn’t meet your location criteria of suburban or rural location - it’s right in the middle of Philadelphia. It’s pretty much the definition of an urban campus. And while Rutgers has its open spaces in various spots, I don’t think anyone would call it a rural or suburban campus, either.

Is that including room, board, books, etc??? That seems too low for that. Maybe that was their “per semester” price…not their annual price (many websites are very confusing about that.)

Is that the 5 year co-op option? Is medical imaging within Engineering?

On the Drexel website, I am seeing MUCH higher prices…but maybe I’m not looking in the right place… :)

Three Co-op Option
(5 Years)
Annual costs…
Tuition $29,800
Fees $2,035
Housing $7,605
Meal Plan $5,076
Total $44,516

One Co-op Option/No Co-op Option (4 Years)
Annual costs…
Tuition $36,700
Fees $2,035
Housing $7,605
Meal Plan $5,076
Total $51,416

I may be wrong, but I think with the Co-op program a student can earn about $8k per year.
