Hi! I currently attend UC Riverside and I considering I want to get into Ibanking or something related to finance I want to transfer to a more prestigious university with more opportunities. This first quarter I have taken:
Macroeconomics A
Precalculus(I know it’s low, no idea I was placed in this class): A
English(professor is impossible): B
GPA(first quarter): 3.7 (rounded to tenth from 3.67)

The problem is my second quarter. I really don’t want to take English cause I feel like taking English a lot of times is based off luck and how nice a professor is willing to be. The professor I currently have has not given out ONE A at all on any essays. I was considering not taking English my second quarter and taking it my third quarter so that when colleges see my application they only see my first and second quarter grades. The main problem is that second quarter ends near the end of March and I’m not sure if schools would see the grades in time? I messed up with my English grade first quarter for sure so I’m really scared. I know for a fact second quarter I can get a 4.0 because I’m taking classes I believe are relatively easy at UCR.

Second quarter:
Finance
Calc
Stats(or intro to Bus)
Microecon

I was wondering does it matter whether I take my English second or third quarter? I need 2 quarters of english to have it equal to 1 semester. Please help!

ECs: Work experience past summer as a salesman, Co-captain of volleyball team in H.S., four year volleyball member(two year varsity), Key club(HS), Circle K, Boxing club, Community service hours cleaning up beaches, volunteered for school band.

My ECs unfortunately are nothing special. My HS GPA weighted was a 3.6 and my SAT scores were pretty bad. 1890 on SAT I 730 on Math and 700 in U.S. history.

Could you guys chance me on these schools? I’m positive my GPA after next quarter will be 3.8 - 3.9 +

Potential schools: NYU Stern(dream school), Cornell, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Boston University, Rochester, IU(Backup because I’m interested in their investment banking workshop), U Texas Mccombs, Emory, USC, UVA, and UNC. Strongly considering Boston College and Brandeis.

Please help!

My third quarter would be:
English
Calc
Intermediate Microecon
Stats(Depends on if I get it second quarter
Chem(Only if I get stats second quarter.
