Looks like Berea is your best bet though they may only take ONE student from Bangladesh.
Top 25-35% nationally is not really going to cut it for the level of competitiveness we’re talking about.
A 1390 is excellent but unfortunately not enough to get merit money.
If you can take the ACT and bring up your score (or take the SAT again) you can see what colleges offer in terms of merit.
Have you run the NPC? It won’t be accurate (any federal aid is for American residents only so remove it from the total offered) and do not use my.intuition but the full net price calculator should give you an idea if a best case scenario would be affordable for your family.
Note that your family will be expected to pay that amount every year and, in order to get a visa, you’ll need to show proof for the 1st year with bank account or a banker’s statement showing they can provide the same for years.
Just an FYI…this is an international student. The Net Price Calculators cannot be viewed as anything but an estimate. They are very often not accurate for international students.
Yeah. But, the first one don’t have many info; it only includes few of my advancement and eagerness to help as well as how I’m interested to adapt new things.
The other one is from the company. Actually, it’s good. But, the thing is I didn’t know that it’s better to mention everything thoroughly. Like it mostly shows I did this and that and brought our plan to game/field.
I found the information on their website. Since, they clearly said that their financial aid amount vary from 20k to 32k, it’s clear that I won’t be accepted given my financial constraints.
I don’t care about prestige, ranking. All I care about is financial aid and research opportunities (would prefer a good coursework too).
I have a similar resource, but they are outdated (class of 24). Thanks for the more updated ones.
Thanks. I’ll bet on it.
I didn’t have enough time for preparation. I was sure that my score wouldn’t be significantly a lot better if I had taken in December. That’s why I took the November SAT and kept enough time to craft the essays.
Off top of my head, F&M meets need but is aware. I don’t see Colgate, Lafayette, Middlebury, Richmond, or Vassar on the list above either. These are aware schools though so needing 100% might be cause for automatic rejection to preserve budget…might be, I don’t know…but know it will be difficult.
Here’s a US News slide show with the cheapest colleges for International - this appears to be total cost b4 aid - but certainly won’t be a full ride - and then OP will have transportation and other challenges to boot.
Go ahead and apply, but also please make realistic options in your home country. The odds of being admitted with the aid that you need are very, very small.
While not need-blind for internationals, Middlebury meets 100% of demonstrated need for all accepted international students, which typically comprise 10-11% of each class.
