Help with Supplement essay! (will help you back :D )

This is the Bowdoin supplement essay topic:

Bowdoin students and alumni often cite world-class faculty and opportunities for intellectual engagement, the College’s commitment to the Common Good, and the special quality of life on the coast of Maine as important aspects of the Bowdoin experience. Reflecting on your own interests and experiences, please comment on one of the following in 250 words:
1. Intellectual engagement
2. The Common Good
3. Connection to place

I'm not really sure how to address any of these topics...here is my understanding of the 3, can someone tell me if the way I'd approach the essays seems to answer the prompt reasonably well? Thank you!

1--I'm not really sure what they mean by "intellectual engagement" but I'd define it as curiosity for your surroundings beyond school and answer it by explaining how I've been curious about the culture, history, and language of the places I've lived (US, Greece, France) and how this has enriched my life through a greater understanding and awareness of the world.

2--The only volunteer work that I've done is through my ballet school, so I'd talk about the charity performances I did with my dance school and how using my passion to do good and make people happy was a truly great reward.

3--I've moved around a lot in my life so I'd talk about how having connections to multiple places has affected me and how it's contributed to me becoming more culturally and globally aware. I'd also discuss how being able to establish a connection with multiple places has made adjusting to moves easier and will make a transition to Maine easier as well. I was a bit confused about this prompt as I'm not sure if we're supposed to talk about connection to a place in general or connection/attraction to Maine in particular.

Which of my answers is the best and do they answer the prompts?

I'd be more than happy to return the favor if you help me out, leave a link to your thread and I'll read your essay as soon as I see it! :D

bump!
I'd really appreciate some help with this! (:

i could go with your connection to place..you could give specific places you've been to, explain how you made your visit there, maybe things that could have posed difficulties and how you handled them..all leading to making the best out your stay in those places and its effect on you.
