Help with Texas Common App

I know this may sound very trivial, but I would really appreciate some help. Since I am not a citizen, I’m required to send in a copy of my resident card. However, when the card was first issued, there was a mistake concerning my name: they cut my first name in half (i.e. instead of ShoeLace Knot, it became Shoe L. Knot). Due to the long time it would take to correct it, I let it be. Do you think it could cause problems with the school? Should I put some kind of comment explaining it on the copy? Oh, another question, when I took the SATs earlier this year, I sent scores to the colleges I’m applying to. So I assumed that I wouldn’t need to send them again, now, right? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’d just attach it to a note with the name you used on the application and include your social security number and your application number. That should be enough for them to realize who it belongs to. I wouldn’t bother to explain (look up how Ulysses S. Grant got his name).

Wait, your given name is Shoe Lace Knot?

LOL!
