Somehow this thread reminds me of the banana slicer.
In fact, a banana slicer, a mousepad emblazoned with “Don’t Choke the Chicken in Public”, and a Christmas Nutcracker along with a small sack of walnuts would make lovely stocking stuffers for the roommate.

I agree that if this is a real problem, the dude may need counseling. In which case, OP, your friend’s son shouldn’t be hard on him.
He can also always change rooms. I’m sure it’ll cost money, but it’s worth a shot.
