Help!!

Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to get into the PhD program for sociology at Northeastern, BC, BU, and Pitt??

Will a 3.4 GPA get me in and what score should I try to get on the GRE? I’m hoping to get at least a 1000-1100…

I’d appreciate the feedback! Thanks!

You will likely need more than a 1000-1100 on the GRE to get into a Ph.D program. That’s an extremely average, really below-average score. You should be shooting for the 1200-1300 range, at least.

Every Ph.D program is extremely difficult and competitive. Your GPA is middling-low for top applicants, but not prohibitive… most important will be any undergraduate research experience and your professor recommendations.
