March SAT:

720 Math
630 Critical Reading
730 Writing (76MC - 8 essay)

What should I do now? I thought I would do better, especially on the math. What should I do to improve Critical reading, and how can I improve my essay? I wrote the full two pages, and stayed on topic.

It’s not enough just to write two pages and stay on topic…you’re being graded on your argument. Practice writing more persuasive essays – arguments backed by real examples and that show the reader how smart and thoughtful you are.

In CR, assuming your vocab is solid, concentrate on eliminating answers that either contradict the passage, or aren’t mentioned there. Remember that the CR section really isn’t testing you on outside knowledge at all. The right answer will be backed by evidence right in the passage, and usually near the line reference. Your job is to find it. Think of it like a much more boring Where’s Waldo book.
