<p>What’s the difference between an AP exam and a CLEP exam? If there is no such thing as “CLEP English Literature” (compared to AP English Lit), then what’s the point of taking an AP class? Are AP’s harder or something? I totally support AP’s and all that stuff, but I’m just totally confused!!

<p>An AP Exam tests on curriculum based on what you would learn in a college class. IE, a really big, annoying final, for a class you’ve taken.</p>
<p>A CLEP exam is an examination based on your proficiency with application of knowledge you would have gained in a college class. IE, this test measures ability and understanding of concepts in a more application based manner, for people who never took this class, but worked in that area for several years.</p>
