Help

i got a 1370 on the jan sat 1, 740 math and 630 verbal.
I got a 1200 on the oct sat 1, 680 math and 500 verbal.
How is this looked upon and should i retake the test on saturday?
Will it not look weird if i dropped 170 points in 9 months?

Take the test only if you know you can improve (get higher than 1370); otherwise, it’s risky…and since you didn’t let Pton know to expect Jan. scores, you’d have to contact them.

That is a pretty big drop, but they’ll give you the benefit of the doubt (assume you had a bad day, etc) and look at your highest.

That’s pretty weird. How did that happen?

I’d tell you to take a practice test, see what you get, and if you do well on the practice, and then decide to take the jan test or not… BUT I’m also the one who got 1600s on the practice tests but got 1450 on my first SAT test… so you can’t even rely on the practice tests to see how well you’ll do on saturday.

if u know u bombed it you can cancel your score right afterwards, so why not take it?

take it and see what you get… hopefully you’ll do better

Well if he cancels it right after, his score reports won’t get sent.
