I’m mostly worried about my GPA. What else do you think I need to do?

bumping it up

You have great everything. Your grades are a little low compared to the schools you are looking at and your SAT scores. Did you slack or do you go to a very competetive school/have a hard schedrule?

My schedule and school are quite hard, but I guess you can call what I do slacking. I go deeper than the curriculum, so while I know more than the people around me, I don’t feel like doing the work because it looks menial. I know it’s a bit arrogant-sounding, but I don’t mean it that way. My SAT scores will be a lot higher, I just took it in June again.

bumping up

chances anyone?? please?

Come on folks, if you can read this, you might as well write something. I haven’t even had a serious post yet.

bumping, lala

trim down ur list

any ivy can pretty much be considered a reach. most schools wont look at your SAT writing score so thats good for you. If you can show that you are really dedicated to some of your ECs you should be good. play any sports?

cut down on your list of schools. what’s your prospective major?

I want to do Math and Business.

y cut down on your list? if u know u can get certain big scholaships at some schools… keep ur list big… like 4 uga, u might be able to get the foundation fellow.

I dont think I can get a Foundation Fellowship because of my GPA. That was why it was on my list in the first place, but the more I think about it, the more I realize my GPA is killing me. Plus, I’ll still apply to all the colleges in my first list, I’m just cutting the list down to reflect my top choices.

moving up!

moving this up.

How will my GPA affect my admission chances? Everyone tells me I might not get into a lot of schools just because of my GPA. Is that true?

i am far from an expert, but a 3.5 UW means something like 3 As and 3 Bs per year on average. Apparently this is iffy at most Ivy leagues.

How would a 3.6 differ compared to a 3.5? So, with my SAT scores and ECs, do you think I have a chance at my colleges?
