Do…have a passion for SOMETHING. Make sure this passion is offered at the UW. They want to have students that will succeed in making their dreams come true. This is a win win situation and why the UW is 2nd only to JHU in research grants and published works.
Do…make sure your personal statement reflects this passion…and explain WHY it will benefit you and the UW community, and world for that matter.</p>
<p>Don’t… assume that because you have a 4.0 your a shoe in. Go to Harvard…the UW has enough “left brain only” and want a balanced student with some social skills and charm.
Don’t… call the admissions office on a daily basis. There is a reason why they ask for your name. They are more organised then you think.
Don’t… have a Facebook profile pic of you wearing your underware. Bad idea.</p>
<p>Bottom line…have a passion, be thoughtful, and have some taste. </p>
