Being a college admissions counselor is not the solution. (I am one.) They remain unconvinced. They become convinced when, after spending mega time, money,and swear, their children get no offers from “elites” but offers from other great schools, there’s no choice left. Then the child goes to Great School and ends up in same great career with same great opportunities that the parents insisted were only available with a more “prestigious” diploma. Then the parents finally get it. That’s been my experience
