<p>I’m prepping for an intern position at the Scripps Research Institute and I have been thinking about helping undergrads out at UCSD for about 8-10 hours per week with lab work. </p>
<p>Does this count as an EC?</p>
<p>Yes, although 8-10 per week isn’t that much. If you can perform research and possibly get your name on a paper, that is another thing. Most people who do research spend 15+ hours a week during the school year, and hundreds over the summer.</p>
