It can be overwhelming to a 19 year old freshman who realizes their current university is not the best fit to find another for their sophmore year. Where does one begin? My daughter wants to study accounting, but currently Mays Business School at A&M is very difficult to get into, and the school itself is just too big. She would consider out of state…as long as it’s not TOO COLD! She loves volleyball, and is not too into the party scene…and is a very active christian. Any ideas, thoughts…i.e. help would be great!!

Suggest she talk with her friends so she can get first hand info about the colleges they’re attending.
Maybe she’ll feel a bit more secure transferring to a college where a friend currently attends.

How were her first-semester grades, and how were her test scores?

Be sure you look at schools with AACSB accreditation in accounting:

Did she apply and get accepted to any other colleges? Maybe she would consider those first if there are any.
