HELPPP need to find quarterly Comm. College!

Hey i'm trying to rack up all the classes i can to transfer to SD STATE and i'm trying to find a community college in orange county that offers quarters instead of semesters....

THANKS>

i dont think community colleges offer that, the best that can replicate that are the short term classes some community colleges in la offer certain classes during first 6-8 weeks, and then others during the second 6-8 weeks. of the 12-16 week semester.

Follow this link to search for community colleges by state:

U.S. Community Colleges, by State

Community colleges operate on many different calendars, and I'm sure that you can come up with one somewhere that is on quarters rather than semesters. HOWEVER, you need to be aware that a year long course divided into three quarters at 3 quarter hours each term for a total of 9 quarter hours is most likely to transfer to a semester calendar school as the equivalent of 6 semester hours. AND, you need to be careful not to overload yourself so that you don't wipe out your GPA in the search for number of credits. The school you want to transfer to still expects you to earn decent grades in the school you are transferring from.

You can look at bellevuecollege.edu - they are on a quarter system. The fall quarter starts kind of late (mid Sept), so I do not know if that would fit into your timeframe. They do offer online classes.
