Here it goes!!! >.<

PLEASE CHANCE ME FOR:

GEORGETOWN
UNIVERSITY OF PENN
CARNEGIE MELLON
UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND
DUKE UNIVERSITY

And please recommend what minimum SAT score you think i should aim for to get into each

OK so im a junior and i am dedicating this whole summer to SAT prep (i score about 1500 on prapctice tests freshmen year with out prep) and i am self studyin and getting a priavate tutor very soon. I am hoping for around a 2000.
I am studying every day for the sat, not just relying on my tutor

I have a GPA of 87
(i could easily pull it up next year by december because half the school year is the length of a whole course in my new school)

MY COURSE LOAD
Freshmen year:
Honors Physical Science A+
Honors Eng I B+
Honors Hist I A+
Geography A
Algebra I C+
Latin B+

Sophmore Year
Honors Biology A+
Honors Alg II/Geometry B
Honors Eng II B+
Honors World Hist B
Spanish I A+

Accelerated Alg II (they MADE me retake it) A+
Accl Adv. AlgII/Trig/Precalc B+

Although my math grades are not too great all my math teachers were VERY great, and i am way more ahead of my fiends who took the same course in a diffenent school. I solve probles in about half the time the do and learned a lot of useful shortcuts, etc.
I hope that will help me in my Math IIC

if you can think of any above avergae schools i have a shot at in the East Coast please tell me!

not much info to go by. no AP classes? Guessing an 87 GPA is around a 3.8. I’m no authority, but i’d say Penn, georgetown, and duke are stretching it.

no AP, and my high school doesnt give gpa by 4.0 scale.

So they are a stretch no matter what my SAT scores are?
Even if i land about a 2000?
:frowning:
i was really aiming for at least Gerogetown

I’m sorry to have to tell you, but a 2000 SAT isn’t that impressive for the schools you’re applying to. Aim higher, you can do it. :)

I think you might need more than 2000 and an 87 is closer to a 3.3 on the 4.0 scale and what about SAT iis? if you do well in ur math iic it should make up your math grades maybe.

I wish you good luck, and nothing’s impossible with essays and ecs. I’d suggest volunteering passionately and getting a job too.

Hope that helps. Enjoy your Junior year and don’t stress too much.

I plan on takig Math IIC (already started prepping and it doesnt seem challenging at all )

Bio M
and US HISTORY

hmmm my current volunteer hours are not good enough? lol
ok
Thank you all for your advice

The reality is that if you want to aim for Georgetown, UPenn, and Duke, you need at least 2100+ on your SATI with at least 700+ on your SATIIs. So you should either study hard and aim for the necessary scores or search for other schools that you have chances at. But around 2000 on the SATI should get you into UMaryland and maybe CMU.
