A lot of these I’ve done before 9th grade, but I just listed my high school participating years.

Not-so-cool things I’ve done
- Through SciOly: Created a bridge program so SciOly members can tutor other students based on what subject they’re studying. Established B division at middle school. Go on elementary school tours to demonstrate engineering projects. Currently working with science professor at middle school to revise the mousetrap car and tower building exercises in physical science curriculum, but I’ve been able to talk the superintendent to allow me to help teach this unit! (:

Robotics: Created an after school monthly enrichment program for middle and elementary school MESA students during which they can learn to build and (somewhat but not really) program a robot. Currently working with the team to build a robot that will empty the book bin at HS library. This project has thus far been a dismal failure.

During the summer
- Healthcare camp as a rising sophomore
- Volunteered in lab, helped professor in lab research as a rising junior
- Intern at a biomed lab as a rising senior (yes, I know this for sure)

Awards/Honors
No national awards
- Annual department awards in math and science (9, 10), and in history (9)
- Volunteer awards, nothing big. But lots of volunteering. Lots. > 2000 hours, for sure.
- Lots of science olympiad medals?
- Some robotics and lots of math awards
- Random essay competitions, about $1000 earned from these

Questions
- Do I lack a focus? Some CC’ers have told me I don’t appear to have a “passion.” Idk how I’m going to do that, with one year left.
- Based on my stats, where do I stand a chance? I’m planning on applying to UW Seattle and Harvey Mudd (can you say reach…), but I’m really bad at finding which colleges would be a match for me. Do you have suggestions?

Thanks for slogging through this, guys. Suggestions & comments are really appreciated :)
