Hi,
I’m currently a high school senior from Mass.

I have a 2.83 GPA. I’ve been a Girl Scout (LOL, I know) for the last 3 years, a Big Sister(organization) for 3 years, and on the tennis team for 3 (non-consecutive) years. I also recently joined my school’s classics club & Model UN club. I currently babysit (as a job) for 10+ hours a week. I recently taken college courses (at Suffolk U, through a job program for free) and maintained a 4.0 at those while also working at the State House.

Oh, and I also attend Boston Latin Academy- a public exam school in Boston
My college choices are currently:
Howard University
Hampton University
3.Hofsta University
Fairfield University
UMass Amherst
6.Emmanuel College
UMass Boston
8.UMass Darmouth
9.Suffolk University
Bridgewater State University
11.Saint Micheal’s College
12.University of New Haven (Connecticut)

Hi! I think your extra curricular activities are certainly in order, did you take the SATs or anything? Congratulations on your success in college courses, it seems like you’ve taken on a huge workload. Hopefully your ECs and college courses will help your GPA. With a little more information I think we would be able to better assess your chances.

As far as I know, Bridgewater and UMass Boston seem to be right on track for you. New Haven and Emmanuel may both be a bit of a reach based on GPA, or at least higher target schools. Based on your classes at Suffolk already, I would project an acceptance there, seeing that you did very well in their classes. Try to pull up your GPA a bit this semester. That’ll give you a big advantage on many other applicants to these schools.I don’t know a lot about the other schools, but your ECs are impressive!
