I’m not asking my chances actually… But what would be the BEST school I could get into? I’m just curious. I know I couldn’t get into any Ivies. Also, I would like to major in biochem, math, or physics and would like to go onto med school. I’m an aspiring oncologist, partially because both of my parents died of cancer.

AP Classes:
Calc AB-5
Biology-5
will be taking ap chem, lang, and calc bc

extra curriculars
varsity cheer captain
gymnastics team
key club (senior board member)
nhs
started sparkle cheerleading squad in town (for disabled girls)
lots of volunteer work (hospital, animal shelter, retirement homes)

If you didn’t take ACTs + Writing, thats gonna be a problem.

And as inherently difficult as chance threads are, it only makes it worse for you to ask “Whats the best school I can get in to?”. Figure out what schools cater to your interests, and go on from there.

Your transcript seems superb so far, but like others have said, you should do some personal research before coming here, and asking to chance for specific schools. I mean, there are over 3200 in the country!

One question, though. Why would you take Calc BC if you already took AB…? Not much point to it.

With your grades and test scores, Northwestern would at worst be a high match; if that’s really where you would like to go, ED there (you will probably get in) and be done.

You have excellent scores and extracurriculars ^.^

From those ACT numbers, in combination with your extracurriculars and good coursework I would say you would have a great shot at getting into an Ivy League college! Harvard would be an excellent school for an aspiring doctor of any speciality, as would the others.
I would say to shoot for the stars and you may just end up at one of the best schools in the nation ^.^

why is there no point to calc bc francaisalamatt? my school doesn’t offer any math beyond calc ab… so i’ve decided to study for calc bc independently and take the exam so that i can stay sharp on math… otherwise, i wouldn’t be taking any math class my entire senior year…

I have a question though… can i get college credit for calc bc if i get credit for my calc ab?

I dont know if different schools have policies, but Madison’s policy on AB vs BC is this: a 3/4/5 on AB gives you credits for one semester of calculus, while the same score on BC gives you two semesters of calc credit.
