Hey Ur Peeps

Are most of you from da Roc or what??

I applied, but I doubt I’ll go just because it’s so close to home…but ya never know esp. since they LOVE roch people and are already like throwing money at me. LOL

Anyway…it’s a really hot school, and Da R-O-C can be cool if ya kno where to go!!!

I can’t decipher your moon language.

Woah, no need to be rude man. I can see you’re from Oregon—you need to get down with our east coast slang. We’re pretty hip in da ROC so I hope you get used to it if you come here. :)

is rochester seriously called “da ROC”?

Hahaha yes, DA R-O-C as in spelling it out!! Not to mention ra-cha-cha! You guys need to get down w/the roc trends. Here you go this will help you…well you prolly won’t get it, but it’s still funny as hell! http://www.timeforweb.com/trivia.htm</a> You’ll love it :D!

ok, what is Wegmans and why is it so revered?

hahah, wow you have a lot to learn my child.

This is going to sound crazy, but Wegmans is actually just a grocery store. Granted, I have liived here my whole life so according to many people I don’t “appreciate it”…but it’s like the benz of grocery stores I guess. People are always coming into the store (I work at one) saying how they were out of town and couldn’t stop thinking about Wegmans! Ohhh and people constantly write letters to weggies asking them to build some in their area! AKA people are obsessed with it, but don’t get me wrong I have been known to go there for entertainment before too. Anyway, you will soon experience Wegmans in all its Rochesterian glory. :D

There are wegmans in new jersey and although they are expensive they are very very pretty

Expensive? How so? But yeah Weggies rocks, it also just got named the #1 best company to work for by Fortune magazine! Anyway maybe I’ll see ya in NJ, I’m going there on company business this spring!!!:)

Espensive in terms of other super markets…
This is the "price list from a “steal” to a “rip off”
-Stop & Shop
-Pathmark
-Shoprite
-A&P
-Kings
-Wegmans

Even though I work at A&P I would have to say I love Wegman’s… The stores are in tiptop shape and the level of customer service is A+++

Dang, who knew? I always shop at Wegs of course! Actually, everyone does, probably because they are everywhere and it’s hard to go somewhere else once you’re used to Weggies!!! But yeah it’s a fun place to work cus everyone is always happy! :D

wegmans, we have one in princeton i think

Ive been to wegmens in NJ, and the one in Rochester. I live on the West Coast now so I have a good idea of how great Wegman’s is. And from personal experiences and such I think Wegman’s is great wherever you find one. It’s rated in the top 100 Companies to work for by Fortune Magazine for a reason.

im sorry to burst alll yalls wegmans bubble (although is is great interms of grocery stores) it is a warehouse and the joy you peeps miss in rochester is that of costco–costco is the one and only, the store that sells other stores in bulk, where you can walk in with nothing and leave with 19 gallons of maple syrup or a hot dog and fries, where you can purchase a crate of CKJeans or walk out wearing a fleece jacket. It is a grocer, a clothier, a carsalesman, and a gazebo showroom. It is an expert and seller of all your electronic needs and even an optomotrist.
Costco will fill every of your earthly desires and wholesale fantasies.
sadly, i will be deprived of this in rochester and will have to be nursed back to life by the sweet nectar of wegmans

…o well, theres allways costco online

-out
