Hi, help plz

Im currently a junior in high school, attending a fairly competitive high school in Milpitas,CA.
But I will be moving over to Sugarland, TX in the summer following my junior year. My grades are not very impressive compared to others at my school at the moment, but how well do i stack against students in the Sugarland, TX area?

ACAD GPA (9-12) 3.00
ACAD GPA (10-12) 3.13
Total GPA 3.07

Freshman year: 3.17 & 2.67
Sophomore year: 3.0& 3.0
Junior year 3.5 & pending

Class Rank: 250/668
10-12 rank: 221/668
about top 30% ish… =(
Class of 2011~

I have my mind set on either Texas A&M or UT Austin, but the chances are very unlikely…unless there was a miracle?
Would i be able to break into the top 8% if i were to attend school in sugarland??

I know UT is a LOT easier for in-state so you’ll have a better chance. You’re lucky, I know a lot of my friends would’ve loved to move to Texas in order to get into UT. Take advantage of it.

The only way to get in UT in-state is to be in the top 10% of your class. You’ll have to check with any schools you look at to see how they will handle grades from your school in CA. If you’re lucky you’ll find one that will take the credits and not consider the grades in ranking.

that would be AWESOME IF THEY let me have a fresh start :D… but what are the chances…
