Hi, im from a province in Canada called Quebec where there is no grade 12…please help

were supposed to apply for college at the beginning of our senior year right?..but here my senior year is grade 11…but the SAT is supposed to be taken after grade 11…Do i send my application without scores or do i take my SATs before i apply?..

thanks in advance

i also have another problem ill discuss in another topic

Take your SAT’s before you apply (to American colleges neway, dunno about Canadian ones).

And people here should know that Quebec is in Canada.

…
hey, bigfatfrickinfa

i am from a city called Vancouver which is in a province called British Columbia…
is that true that you guys don’t have Grade 12 in QB?
…i have never heard of that.

anyway,
for your question…
there is no such a rule that says you must take the SAT in gr 12, i believe you can take it whenever you want to as long as you pay them the registration fees

Yes, it is true(no grade 12…then 2 years college and 3 or more university
and sorry bout writing ‘‘Quebec…which is a province in Canada’’…but I have friends who live in Florida and when i tell them where im from there respond; ‘‘from who?, where?’’

Doesn’t an SAT require knowledge of someone who has passed grade 11?

ah?
no, you don’t need to be sorry for anything, i was just kind of kidding-_-

yes, thats true…
cus i have seen numerous posts in which they said they took the SAT in soph or even freshman grades.

o, wait , you mean the knowledge ?

well, for the knowledge thing,
since the test consists of 3 sections, two of which are like english sections and one of which is math section

so for the english sections, i think you cannot actually “learn” any specific things about the test, you just need to memorize tons of words and do some practice and get yourself familiarized with the test formation.

for the math section, i think its pretty easy…
i think it mainly requires the knowledge of gr 8-11?(i don’t know lots about the educaton system in your province).
maybe it requires a tiny bit of sequence thing you might learn in gr 11?( did you learn that?)

but i still think the math section is not a big problem

I recommand you buying the Official SAT study guide first, you can go through that book to get a overall understanding of what the test is about( it has detailed explanations of the math concepts you need to know)
you can buy it on amazon, its much cheaper than anywhere else

and since you may not get a satisfying score on your first try, so you need to take it more than once
so if you take it in your gr 11 year, you may not have much time…

anyway, preparing in advance is not a bad thing…

good luck

thanks, im gonna buy a study guide and see what i need to know to ace it…
