Hi,
I’m new to the forum and just wanted to say hi. I’ve read a lot of good information from here before and finally decided to join.
Years ago (over 12 years) I dropped out of SDSU. I left after 2 years with a terrible GPA just under 2.0. I’ve taken up the challenge of starting over and enrolled in CC classes part time. For now I’ll be working full-time, but hope to become a full-time student for the last few years.
I wanted to some comments about what my options were after community colleges, but didn’t know what section to post in. As far as most CSU’s are concerned I’ll be done with GE in about 3 classes. I’ll be majoring in CS and actually have a year or 2 work experience in that area as well as about 6 years on the more management side, but my passion is for the more technical work like coding.
My main goals in all this are to finish something I started years ago and open up doors that have been closed to me due to my lack of a degree. I would like my work to be challenging and technical with top notch people. I’m willing to relocate once I reach the point of becoming a full-time student.
Also this might be asking much, but does anybody have any information on some east coast schools that would accept someone with such a poor past record? Particularly in the Boston or NY area.
Thanks,
John
