<p>Anybody a QB finalist that can give me advice on the QB process, and if I might have the potential to get in based off of my recent threads. THANKS

<p>It’s hard to tell, but if you search the threads here, I’ve seen stories about applicants who were accepted with a range of achievements, encouraging students to not be afraid that if they aren’t perfect applicants they won’t get in.
Some are high achievers and some don’t have the perfect profile one expects in order to be accepted into an Ivy. </p>
<p>While many of the partner colleges to QB are highly selective, QB is different. From what I have read, there is more room on the application to consider applicants’ circumstances. It is still a selective program, but there is no harm in applying as long as you have a plan to apply to other less selective colleges as you do. </p>
<p>Regardless of the chances, you should apply, because the program is a great opportunity to students who are selected, and a range of students are. </p>
<p>What is your level of financial aid? That’ll help determine whether you would be picked as a QB finalist. </p>
<p>Another word of advice: there is a lot of wisdom and experience here about applying, what colleges are out there, financial aid, and more, but nobody here has any short cut through the uncertainty factor. Senior year is a different experience for both students and parents. For most of your childhood, parents had some control over your destiny- where you would live, go to school, and although you took on more as you matured, you knew where your home was, but now, you don’t know where you will be in a year. </p>
<p>Whether someone has near perfect stats, or not so perfect, we all go through almost a whole year of uncertainty- really not knowing how the whole process will turn out. The best you can do is apply wisely- in the range of possibilities from hopeful to more certain, and then it’s out of your hands. Chance threads have value as far as feedback is concerned. If someone posts and gets a lot of responses that say “no way” then it is time to reconsider the choices, but even if the responses are positive, then still it is better to also have safe choices.What none of us can do is predict the outcome. So beyond asking for advice, prediction threads have little value.</p>
<p>As to QB, since you meet the qualifications, you should apply, because there are basically only two possibilities. One is predicable and one is not. If you apply, then you won’t know what happens. If you don’t apply, then you won’t get accepted. This is all you and any applicant has to go on.</p>
<p>Your task at hand this summer is test prep and researching the colleges that are QB partner choices so you can apply with how you match up in mind. Choose the ones that truly fit you. Also research the other colleges that are not so selective and might be affordable. The more you focus on them instead of the big stars, the more you will find what you like about them. You can not possibly know what will happen, but you can take a step towards being happier about the outcome next year by doing this: yes, apply to QB and wherever else you choose as a reach, but you make it your goal to fall in love with your safeties.</p>
