I just joined this forum because I am super anxious to hear back. I have a 3.64 GPA applied for marshall.
I’ve been at community college for one year and have completed 44 units. I took one summer course and received an A (Accounting 1). First semester I got a 3.0. Act 2 (A), Precalc (D), microecon (B), english 1 (A), and geography (A)… I didn’t pass precalc because i never went but i did well on all the tests and then they decided to fail me (great). this semester i took 22 units with a 4.0 (business calculus, english 7, business law, geography lab, upper level psychology, intro to business, and world religions).
What do you guys think? I got a SGR but i am still waiting to hear back… My boyfriend got in last week with a 3.54 to marshall but he had over 90 units…
Also if i don’t get in do you guys know what the appeal process is?

You need to contact Marshall about this. They will be able to tell you what you need to do.
Many college instructors take roll every single day. If they do that, and you only attend on test days, you will fail the class. Usually that rule is made by the college or university itself, not by the instructor.
@happymomof1 actually that’s not a rule at all at my previous CC. she just failed me because she was angry that i did not go. she never took roll call. she just noticed that i only came on test days and did not pass me.
