hi

ok, so i am a freshman at a very study abroad influenced college(mandatory study abroad), i love it here. Over the last couple of days, i received bad news, b/c of personal reasons my best friend on campus had to leave and not come back for the semester. On her last day I received good news though, despite her leave of absence she will be able too make the china study abroad trip she’s looked foward too all year in June.(which gave her hope in all of this) Now this is a mostly upperclassmen trip and my best friend is a junior, but b/c of the circumstances, her professor is going to talk to some people too get me on this trip. Ive always wanted too go to china, but my parents were vague b/c i had a tough semester last semester. I told my parents that i will keep my grades up, b/c I have too to stay on this trip but they dont believe me. Do you have any suggestions too help me get them too let me go? Yes their will be more then likely other china trips but this is w/ my closest friend whom might i add i will not see for most of the semester, and its a once in a life time experience

You’re in COLLEGE, and (I assume) an adult. Go if you want to, but don’t make decisions based on what you parents think or what someone on an online forum suggests.
I understand that people don’t always put their best foot forward online, but based on your statement with numerous errors and subject, “hi,” it might be to your benefit to continue taking academic classes.
