Hiding by not self reporting not so great AP scores?

A question about self reporting AP scores. My senior took/is taking a lot of APs, but only sat for 3 AP tests, with uninspiring results. His ACT was 33, his SAT 2180, but he only received a 4 and two 3s with his AP tests (he’s mostly had As in his AP classes but overloaded with 7 in one year–he’s on block system). Should we mention the AP scores to Middlebury, Colgate, Northwestern & Brown? He’s not looking to get course credit, he was trying to he’s challenging himself. These are his reach schools… It’s all a long shot, but we don’t want schools to think he’s hiding something. Please help by sharing your thoughts.

those scores are fine. The rule is to report all scores 3 and up, since these are passing scores. If you don’t report them schools may assume you didn’t take the exams or failed them.
