First I’ll give you all some background info. UVA has been my target school since I was a child. UVA has a guaranteed admission program for students at nova community college with a gpa of 3.4 and all C’s or better with at least 54 credits over two years and they can transfer to UVA as a junior. I’m currently a highschool sophomore in VA. I’m taking three APs and have a 4.2 gpa. My psat was a 1400/1520 and math level 2 subject test score of 790. What I’m wondering is: would it be a good idea to not finish high school, get a GED so I can go to NOVA community college, get the easy expectation for guaranteed admission, then transfer to uva? It would expedite my years spent in school by two years but I realize the risk factor involved. Thoughts?
… or you could just do very well in school and continue your activities and apply like everyone else.
Thank you for answering. You’re absolutely right and i just realized that you have to be at least 18 for a ged in virginia. Sorry for wasting everyones time
