Didn’t think of UArts. The president shift sounded like RISD.
It hadn’t occurred to me that because of scheduling my D might not graduate in 4 years. Anyone know of any schools that have better rates of graduation in 4 years? I noticed that Temple seemed to make a point of getting students to graduate in their Fly in 4 program. But I wonder if it applies to Tyler too?
IMHO the best thing to do is talk to an academic advisor and see what the planned course of study would be for that major. Many schools also publish this information online. The student should keep this on hand for meetings with the academic counselor so that if there need to be any switcheroos they can be done w/o penalty (i.e. extra time in school). Something else to consider is to make sure that your study abroad (should you do one) fulfills your curriculum requirements. It’s best to work with the department head as well as the academic advisor to make sure everything’s in order there.
