I am a currently doing my second year in Alevels. I have maintained good grades ( all A’s) in six subjects i am taking. My recommendations are good. However, I screwed up my SATs. Do you think i should only be applying to test optional colleges or should I take chances applying to colleges requiring SAT? How much importance do colleges give to SAT?
I would start with the test optional colleges as my first choices. No point in beating yourself to death trying to make it into schools that place a lot of emphasis on sat , unless your willing to take it again ( and again and again).
Did you pratice and study for the SAT? If not, it might be worth preparing more thoroughly, and trying again. Or you could try the ACT as some students do better on one format than the other.
