High grades/ mixed SAT's?

What about a female student who applied RD with mixed SAT’s:
600 M, 700’s CR, W, but who is a supersmart academic achiever with straight A’s in all subjects, including all math classes. Unweighted gpa is 3.95 at a competitive, super rigorous private school. Is Wesleyan all about keeping up numbers of do they look at the whole person?

ec’s: musician in band, lots of community service, interned in several labs.

no “hooks”

Solid grades in tough classes can typically make up for a “mediocre” (not that yours is!) SAT score.

Still, Wesleyan is very competitive. You have a very, very solid shot.

Wesleyan is def. not all about the numbers. They care a lot about the whole person, fit, etc. You certainly have a shot, particuarly if the adcoms respond well to your essay, teacher recs, etc.
