Thoughts?

Thanks

I know my Ec’s are relatively weak. I hope to make up a little grounds with my essays.

Acceptance Rate to Dartmouth is about 10%, and unless you are a recruited athlete or a legacy, your change stays at that. Also, your EC’s are fine. Just looking at this, I want to know more about your leadership. Also many of these schools require 2 SAT IIs.

All the schools listed are reaches for even the most impressive students. Please add some less selective schools.

@futureco2020 I, being honest, do not have many leadership positions. Other than in knowledge bowl and co-lead of chess club, thats about it. I had ‘leadership positions’ within Evergreen Boys State but even that was minimal. I am taking Math LVL II in October and aiming for 750+.
@jackrabbit14 Part of the question was to find schools better within my range. Suggestions?

MIT: 5%
Caltech: 5%
Dartmouth (ED): 15% (25%)
Pomona: 20%
Amherst: 20%
Williams: 25%
JHU: 30%
Tufts: 35%

@NickFlynn Thank you! This is what I was asking for. According to your percentile ranking, which colleges would be in a 50-60% range? And does the fact that my superscored ACT is a 34 not a 33 change my chances at Amherst, MIT, and Caltech (which all superscore ACT)? Thanks again!

^^^ Roughly about 5% improvement at those three (if they do superscore the ACT), so something like:
MIT / Caltech: 10%
Amherst 25%

Consider adding Hamilton and Colby. You would be likely to get into at least one of them.

Sorry to dig this up, but I couldn’t help but see that you’re involved in Mensa. Am I correct in assuming you’re referring to the High IQ Society?
