what are my chances if i am going to apply to ivy schools (engineering) or other competitive colleges (e.g. UC berkeley, MIT, John Hopkins). i am going to ask for financial aid because my family cannot afford it. help me predict please…

Hopkins and Berkeley won’t be too difficult, MIT is a possibility I guess

anyone? pls…

Hmm… What sets you apart from the rest of the kids who have the same stats and ECs as you? Is it your leadership (I see lots of Stuco commitment! which is good!! :D)? Is it your kind heart (lots of community service!)? Is it ____?

I don’t know, but what you provided seems generic. I am not saying you should change yourself to be more weird/strange/different, but I see a lot of these similar stats and similar goals on soo many threads. You have a wide breadth of ecs you’ve committed yourself to for several years, but is there anything extra you can do to show your initiative/interest in engineering? It seems to me that you join and participate actively, but other than student council and maybe NHS, what did you actively seek out?? These aren’t supposed to be belittling comments, I just think you could reflect on this!

You have excellent grades and statistics! Now, you just need to make yourself stand out!! :)
