High school AP scores and GPA

I’ve been working really hard to get into UCLA for a really impacted major that requires a 3.9+ gpa. However, I realized that I am using one AP score to fulfill one of my english composition requirements. I got a score of 4 in English Lit. but it was from almost 2 years ago in high school. I have a 4.0 right now but will the score of 4 bring my GPA down…or make my academic history look bad in general? I know a 4 is above passing but it’s not a 5, which worries me. I feel so stupid… I could have just taken a writing class this or last semester.

Your AP score is irrelevant to your college GPA. What your AP score does is that it will count towards the minimum 60 required transferable unit count. Your 4.0 will remain a 4.0.
