Ohh, that’s strange, upinflight. I’m sorry. Maybe you could ask your principal about it or something?

@RLlover: Haha, sure, coffeehouses are pretty fun (:

My top colleges are Stanford, University of Michigan, University of Wisconsin-Madison, MIT, Northwestern, and Cornell.

What’s everyone’s list of colleges?
I have USC, UCLA, Carnegie Mellon, NYU

^ I made tofu for dinner tonight, yum
For colleges, my absolute dream is MIDDLEBURY! There’s also something about Princeton to which I’m very drawn.

^ Fried or baked? lol :)

USC is definitely my dream school :D

^ Oh my gosh, that sounds delicious. Are you a vegetarian/vegan, or just a random tofu eater? lol

Really? I can understand that- USC looks almost perfect, lol

Haha I LOLed at “random tofu eater” :). But that probably describes me pretty well. I don’t eat very much meat at all (only fish, and occasionally poultry). But I have an international student from Korea who got me hooked <3

What about you?

My list are:

Duke
Columbia (My dream)
Harvard (Dreaming after Columbia)
Yale (Dreaming after Columbia and Harvard)
Colgate University
NYU
Washington University in St Louis
Stanford
Vanderbilt University
Northwestern University

These are my reach colleges which I would LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to go to. Ofcourse, I would love to go to other Ivy League universities, or MIT/Caltech and such. But I love the colleges above.

Berkeley are cancelled out of my choices, because I cannot afford it as an out of state student.

How many AP Classes do you guys plan to take during your whole high school career? I plan to take 15, is that good enough?

As for prospective colleges, my top 8 are HYPSM, UChicago, Duke and Dartmouth. My dream school is Harvard; it seems perfect for me. Stanford is second, followed closely by Yale. As a low match/high safety, I’ll also be applying to UVA.

Edit: I plan to take 15 AP classes as well. 13 in school, 2 self-studies. I might do more; I haven’t decided yet.

Roughly ordered from most to least desirable:
Harvard
Princeton
MIT
UChicago
Cambridge
Columbia
Stanford
CMU
Northwestern
Pomona
UVA
NYU
It’s a long list, but I figure I’ll have plenty of time to pare it down over the next two years.

You guys are lucky. I can only take 7 in school… and I think self-studying will be extremely hard…

In no particular order:

Stanford
Berkley
NYU
Columbia
Harvard
UChicago
Deep Springs (It sounds interesting as a male, not exactly practical)
Brown
BostonU
Duke

This obviously isn’t definite, but it paints a well-enough picture of my desired schools.

My safety when I apply will be University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. It’s a nice school, not exactly difficult to get into as long as you’re not brain-dead, don’t mind the color orange.

^It’s ranked 47th in National Universities with a 65% acceptance rate.

Wow. I thought that’d be impossibruuuuu

@RL- that’s cool. I’ve basically been a vegan for 11-12 years (I’m 14). So basically all my life
And I have no desire to go back :)

My list:
Brown (dream school).
Swarthmore.
Vassar.
Princeton.
Haverford.
Dartmouth (but I don’t want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere).

Safeties:
WWU and Udub.

@tofugirl10
I’ve tried many times to go vegan but it’s not working, I mean how do you stay away from so much food? Isn’t it a bit tedious to check EVERYTHING you eat for dairy/animal products? And how do you know whether or not certain ingredients are vegan? As a vegetarian, it’s pretty easy to distinguish meat vs. Nonmeat items but,…I guess my desire to go vegan just isn’t strong enough…

And about drivers Ed, I don’t want to squeeze it into my schedule so I’m going to check with my local DMV and only take it if it’s required.

@tofugirl101

Targets: George Washington (~dream school!~), NYU (very close second to GW), American
Reaches: Columbia, Cornell, Stanford, Tufts, Berkeley, Georgetown

:x I’m so scared…

My list of colleges (most desirable to least desirable):
- UNC-Chapel Hill
- Duke (my reacher)
- Wake Forest
- Washington University in St. Louis (my reacher)
- Purdue (West Lafeyette)
- Emory
- University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (my cousin’s a professor there:D)
- East Carolina
- Elizabeth City State
- Campbell
- Hampton
- Wingate

I know that it looks pretty low key, but I know that it will change as I move on through my last years of high school. I really don’t want to go to an Ivy League school because of distance (I want to visit home often because I love it!) and I don’t have any family up there.

@tofu: that’s awesome! Way to go :)

On another note, have the rest of you ever had foreign exchange/international students stay at your homes?
