Ouch, I can see how that kind of “joke” could get old really quick. You definitely weren’t out of line in expressing your opinion about it, and once you’re out of high school, even if you were to become valedictorian, class rank won’t matter one bit.

Sorry guys, I have quick question about the common app. Under the ‘Education’ tab they ask for your ‘Current Year Courses.’ I chose how many courses I wanted and their was a check box that had accelerated, AP, honors, IB and regents. What about electives? Do you just not include them?

I’m pretty sure when you don’t check any of the boxes it gets designated as ‘regular’ ie unweighted. I would definitely include electives. But then again none of my schools are common app

Oh okay, thanks :)

Did anyone go to an Ivy in the Class of 13?

^ That’s a question for the 2013 thread. I’m not sure.

Apollo11 has trouble keeping up with all the threads he’s spamming, lol.

^Lolz

Didn’t someone go to Georgetown?

Anyways, I helped the office pass out schedules today and it was hella dry. Mostly no one came in today, only a few students and parents here and there.

Alot of people at my school are coming in to pick schedules up. I saw the stacks and they’re huge! I go to a ~3000 student public school

I’m so jealous of y’all. My school still hasn’t released our schedules!

@joker: Mine, either. You’re not alone, haha.

Wesleyan interview was today. Was kind of awkward and barely half an hour. mehh

@college: Sometimes we can come off as rude and confrontational without knowing it just because of our tone of voice and/or body language. It was definitely a reasonable request; what they were doing sounds extremely rude, joking or not, and they should have known to let the joke die by now. If it happens again, ask them why they think it’s so hurtful, and if their amusement is worth your pain (maybe phrase it a little less dramatically, but my point is evident). That should either shut them up and/or demonstrate if they’re actually worthwhile friends.

Apollo, someone who took a gap year who posted on the '13 thread anyways is going to Cornell. And someone is going to Harvard.

CSIHSIS and JuniorMint are both going to Gtown (and rooming together).

^Did they know each other prior CC?
Lol it would be funny to room with one of you.

Sent from my SPH-D710 using CC

@lldm21, Lol, when I read your first sentence, I thought you were replying to what I said about Apollo, and I was like, “OH GOD, WHAT HAVE I DONE?”

I’ll totally request you guys if we go to the same school and if you’re the same gender. I won’t even bother with your names, just usernames. It’ll be like

(I just picked the first 3 usernames I saw. No offense to anyone else. I totally want to room with you too!) LOL

lol superstar, i would join in the roommate pool but i don’t think i’ll have a roommate.

@super Wash U roomies lol. Too bad you’re a female and I’m a male.

@TinnyT Hey, the staff don;'t need to know that. Shhhhhh I won’t tell if you won’t. Just make sure to wear a wig on move-in day.

Lmaoo, not a big fan of wigs, but sure!
