<p>I start Monday as well. This is the beginning of the end of high school. </p>

<p>What do you learn in Memory and Memes?</p>
<p>Haha, I have no idea how AP Bio is going at my school. The awesome teacher retired last year. AP Bio tends to start off incredibly boringly though. (woah boringly is a word according to my computer). </p>
<p>Did you know memes are used in computer science? The original “meme” is “the basic unit of cultural transmission, or imitation” or “an element of culture that may be considered to be passed on by non-genetic means”. Only reason I know this is because I was researching memetic algorithms.</p>
<p>AP Biology did start off REALLY boring. It was evolution, populations, microevolution, macroevolution, speciation, endosymbiosis and etc.</p>
<p>I don’t like biology much, but I think endosymbiotic theory is the craziest thing ever. The mitochondria in my cells used to be separate organisms!
(I was about to say “the mitochondria and chloroplasts in my cells,” which indicates I didn’t really learn biology all that well either.)</p>
<p>My AP Bio teacher was teacher of the year last year. Hopefully, that means I can get a good grade and learn some stuff. AP Score is more or less irrelevant as I’ll have to take Bio in college as a Pre-Med.</p>
<p>My AP Bio teacher referred to endosymbiotic theory as slavery. :P</p>
<p>Only reason I’m taking AP Bio is because I hated chemistry and physics and I needed a science class for this year. Bio was mildly enjoyable. But that was freshman year.</p>
<p>I am in no mood for physics, and I heard the AP Chem Teacher at my school sucks. I had the same teacher for Bio and she was good.</p>
<p>I think I am the only one in my group of immediate friends who is not taking AP Biology this year; I opted for AP Music Theory instead. (It should be much easier for me…)</p>
<p>But here’s something interesting: Last year, the AP Bio class had three people in it. This year it has 2 sections. I am pretty sure that this is due to sophomores who took the new Pre-AP Experimental Bio/Experimental Chem class last year choosing to have AP Bio.</p>
<p>I start Monday as well. One day of summer vacation left as a high school student…scary thought. I really need to make a list of all the schools I’m applying to…</p>
<p>So my school disabled all of our PowerSchool accounts last week. They were supposed to re-enable them yesterday, but they couldn’t because they were “printing schedules.” Why do our accounts have to be disabled to do that? They’ve never had to do that before. They’re still disabled. I have around a 95% sure idea of my schedule, based on what was up before the disabling and conversations with my guidance counselor.</p>
<p>My AP Bio gets to go to the zoo on the last day of school. So, I, my88keys, will spend my last day as a high school student with other honors kids at the ZOO! :)</p>
<p>I start on Thursday, and I’m dreading it, lol. My first class is Spanish, and I didn’t get caught up on the curriculum like I was supposed to, so … this may or may not be an extremely awkward struggle. On the plus side, I didn’t realize that I have English on B days instead of A days, so my essay isn’t due until Friday (good thing, as I still haven’t finished the book).</p>
<p>So far, AP Enviro is killer. Easiest AP class curriculum ever, but our teacher knows that so she tries to make it much harder for us by giving us a ton of BS work. -__-</p>
<p>Is anyone else getting SUPER jealous of all their C/O 2013 friends that are moving into college?</p>

<p>I will admit, I am jealous of all the instagram photos and snapchats I am getting from my friends who just moved into college. </p>
<p>But you’re right, it will be us in one year. :D</p>
<p>I miss all my friends already. School was just so much more awesome with the class of 2013. At my school, my class is pretty boring. I have friends but it’s really not the same.</p>
<p>Oh I’m so jealous. All I say is “loving college”, “great first day”, “my dorm room is amazing”, “I made so many friends already”, “leaving the city”, and it goes on and on and on. I’m over here just like… “about to go back to high school -__-”. But it is senior year so I’m still excited to see what’s in store. </p>
<p>I feel so bad. School year didn’t even start and I’m already finding shortcuts to do my homework. Ahh oh well.</p>
<p>We’re going to college in exactly one year.
