I’m glad I inspired shmluza and good noodle:) honestly the only reason I’m in Calc and physics is because in 8th grade I hated the chemistry unit (making elements equal on either side of the equations and other stuff, though I enjoyed it the chemistry unit in bio last year) … Plus chemistry is a super hard class at my school, plenty of kids walk out with 40s and 60s on tests. Took physics in place of it and to take physics they wanted my in Calc… Honestly best decision since it put me alot ahead and makes me stand out as a student…

Also I’m really wanting to take some actual college course my senior year but not sure if I can or if I can get it added into my gpa as an AP credit of sorts. …

So what do you guys normally do on the weekend? I
m usually doing homework it seems…or something like that. I
ll usually try and do something non-school related at some point.

My weekends are pretty boring, ill go to school events if there are any going on. I don’t really like parties so I’m not down for that. If my friends have any plans that don’t getting drunk ill go out…which is why I don’t get out much haha. I don’t really do hw before 8 pm Sunday.

The problem is transportation. It’s a thirty minute drive to anything fun. No one drives. Next year will be better.

Yeah, I don’t get out much either. I mainly just stay home and do [read as: procrastinate on] all my homework in addition to flute/piano practice. I usually only go out on Sundays, and that’s for orchestra rehearsal for 3 hours. I pretty much have no social life… sad…

This is pretty strange but I’m going on my top-choice colleges’ store websites and picking out school apparel, which I have no intention on buying right now. I’m just doing it for fun and I’m getting quite into it.

I spent yesterday:
6-8 Paperround
8.30-12.30 cycling training and travel there
Then lunch and reading An Abundance of Katherines
4.30-10 Swim meet and travel. Got through the rest of aAoK, caught up on two history lessons I missed and did half of a two hour maths paper

Today will be/was:
6-7.30 paperround
Between (now) maths paper homework for tutor
11-12 Remembrance day service
12.30-1.30 maths tutor for additional maths
Textiles homework and interview practice
7.30-8.30 swimming

Normally my days aren’t so packed :/

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.

Yep, its not bad money actually. Also I think generally our houses are closer together, so it makes sense to utilize those without a minimum wage :)

Can’t remember whether I asked this, but is it remembrance day for you too? I didn’t make it to the service, but I lit a candle at home and observed the two minutes silence.
It’s strange to think it’s been 94 years since the armistice, there’s a lot of talk going on about how to observe the centenary.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them.

@CE527M it’s killing my back, but I need the money right now so don’t want to give it up. In the summer it’s lovely, although it means I never get a lie in except when I’m away on vacation.

It
s called Veterans Day in the States. It
s no longer about the Armistice, but rather remembering all the veterans who serve/have served. I
m sure it
s that way for you too, but the Armistice has little to do with it anymore for us. There are various parades, and those who
ve served wear their uniforms and all. But for you, you all remember those who died, today is the day we remember anyone who
s served in the armed forces. In May, we have Memorial Day, in which we specifically remember those who died serving.

Catching up (hopefully) and getting ahead in psych and physics… Studying for a test I have on wednesday… Trying to get into reading on a regular basis…

I wanna compare some of my stats with you guys-

Freshman year
Pre Ap Physics A/B
PE (required as freshman) A/A
Pre AP Geometry B/B
Pre AP English A/A
Spanish II (took I in eighth grade) B/B
AP HuG A/B

I also passed my computer literacy test and took health independently as its a requirement I couldn’t fit in my schedule.

ECS I had leadership (big deal where I’m from, competitive small class and a zero period) as class president as well as a part of recycling club and spirit club.

Now as a sophomore, I have a similar schedule of leadership class Vice President and spirit Vice President so I definitely have leadership skills down. Classes are Pre AP English, broadcast journalism (highly advanced, selective group, rare for hs here in California, position of head news anchor and something I plan to follow as career) normal algebra II, pre AP chemistry, AP Euro, and Spanish III. I am very dedicated and involved in my school as you can see which is a strong point I have. Do you guys think I’m heading in the right track for ucs?
