No, I got WLed at four schools, and denied at two. I’m applying again next year. I’m going to CT for two days soon to tour Taft, Hotchkiss, and Kent. Are you going to boarding school?</p>

<p>@ifax I got rejected by 3 and wl’ed by 1. I go to a good school now (12% acceptance rate, 30% of each class goes to ives), so I’m not sure if I will reapply, but I I do I won’t be applying to any schools that rejected me! Do you know if schools I requested info from last year will resend?</p>

Sorry about those rejections and the WL. I know they hurt. As for the schools you requested info from last year, no, they won’t resend the info unless you request it. If you reapply, do you have any idea where you want to reapply?</p>
<p>@ifax I’m not sure yet…but Im making a spreadsheet on my computer if schools and various things about them. I’m mainly looking at choate, loomis, peddie, kent, hotchkiss, episcopal, nmh, st andrews, miss porters, and stevenson. I’m reapplying to loomis because they waitlisted me, and I really think I could get in this time. I’m nervous applying to hotchkiss because they rejected me, but I really loved the school.
I’m even more nervous applying this year than I was last year. What if I get on nowhere again? That would be SO horrible. My school is infamous for writing terrible recommendations after 8th grade for qualified students, but letting more students leave after 9th so I have hope! Are you applying anywhere you were rejected? I think the competition is pretty fierce for MA kids because so many schools end after 8th and they can only accept so many of us.</p>
<p>Urgh, Prep School Admissions. Nothing against prep schoolers, I love all of you :D. But any admissions that isn’t need blind is unfair.</p>
<p>^I’m not referring to myself, but someone I know whose parents make very little got rejected, despite having great stats. Personally, I know nothing about the Prep School Admissions process, except what Ifax has told me. But needblind admissions is necessary for a fair process.</p>

I’m looking into a lot of the same schools you are! And the only school I’m considering applying to that I got rejected from is Andover. And I’ve heard the same about the competition from MA. That’s why I’m not expecting 6 acceptances. If I just get into one school, I’ll be lucky.</p>

I agree completely. Prep school admissions are pretty ridiculous, especially since they are NOT need-blind at all. I’m glad that this year will be my last year applying to prep schools, so I won’t have to deal with the stupidity of it anymore.</p>
