Oops i forgot to apply for AP World History… oh well. :
I also applied to a boarding school for 10-12 grade, so hopefully I get in and it won’t matter if world history is AP or not. But if I do go to the boarding school, then I definitely won’t be the best kid on the math team :\ What do you think I should do?

Who says you have to be the best kid on the math team? If there are better kids, I’m sure that they’ll inspire you and that you’ll end up in their shoes!

I plan on taking a precalc/trig class over the summer I was wondering if this course will prepare me for calculus, and if you think I am able to complete it in 15 weeks. I want to know what your opinion on it id and if it is even worth taking.

Here is the course: https://hs.keystoneschoolonline.com/KeystoneOes/portlets/catalog/selectCourseAction.do

Sorry just realized it doesnt actually link to the course but links to the catalog. The course is under math and it is called Trigonometry/ Precalc Online.

I’m trying to skip out of precalc too (gasp as the audience notices I’m back)

I think it’s doable to test out precalc. I would if it were a possibility. but my school wouldn’t let me.

Yeah, I had to fill out fifty pages of work to skip out

Sophomore Schedule:
H. Spanish 2
H. English
H. Gov
H. Chemistry
Geometry
(don’t remember electives)

Does this look OK? survivable?
due to my school getting budget cuts, AP classes are no longer available.

Sophomore Schedule

H. English 10
H. U.S History (apparently they don’t let you take AP history as a sophomore… would have been nice to know)

This is the hardest schedule possible at my school. Over the summer, I’m taking an online gym class to get my remaining P.E credit.

I go to a very small school, 8-12 has 206 students. They do not offer any AP or honors courses. I am in BETA, Student Council, FCA, and FFA. I am in five other clubs, but these are the main ones.

Do you think that my courses are too weak? It is the hardest they offer. /: Any suggestions on what to do? Should I take a Spanish 1 next year? They only go up to Spanish 2.

I’m debating on taking accounting 1 or computers 1 in 10grade

Thanks for your feedback in advance. It’s cool that I am not the only freshman already freaking out about college :P.

@iwantPRINCETON: To handle competition with friends, just don’t talk about it with them and you’ll stay friends. If you beat them or they beat you it could eventually become a problem. :)

I just earned 100 community service hours this school year! I’m so excited that I reached my goal.

@QuizBaller
Thats quite a lot, very impressive, but keep in minds its obviously easier said than done, and most schools freak out when you check yourself up for more than like, 3 AP courses. If you have the work ethic to keep up with that kind of rigor, go for it.

Does this look like a good schedule for high school? Any advice?

Good plan, fostej, except that I feel your math is a bit slow. Can you speed it up by either taking a summer course or do two math in a year? But if it’s not possible, what you have is fine.
I’m doing algebra II and geometry this year. so I can take precalc next year.
