High School Class of 2015

I’m in Anchorage, what about you?

I got straight As first semester. I’m currently ranked 1 out of 538, which means i’m the freshmen valedictorian so far. I currently have a 89.9 in English. Gotta bring that up.

@ClassOf2015 HS - You’ll be fine. It’s 0.1 percent. Trust me, I’m in the same boat with my 89.7 in Algebra II.

EC’s

Partner’s Club (very active, hoping to run for officer position)
Youth Court (active, trying to get more active as well as run for Chief Clerk)
Academic WorldQuest (our freshman team didn’t do so well, but it was fun)
French Declamation (unfortunately, I didn’t make state, but to be fair, the poetry competition was extremely competitive)
Starting a Business (going to try and start one over the summer, still thinking of an idea)
Key Club (next year, for sure)
Tennis (next year, luckily, they have an “open” level where they teach you how to play. It’ll be fun.)

@2015; we have 4 classes a day, 90 min. a block. it’s block scheduling, and cuts down a whole lot on hw, though sitting through a 90 min. math class gets very tedious sometimes. (:

got a 4.0 unweighted last semester, and it’s looking to be the same this one too.

Nice job!!

Sup, freshmeat?

609 Why are you creeping the fresh thread?

Hmm, why am I?

How did you guys find out the rank? One of my friends told me he ranked #3 in freshman class. I have no clue what my rank is. How do I find out? I feel kinda awkward to ask the counselor. Should I make my parents ask? :p

Try looking at your report card. How many of you are in key club?

@akacesfan Anchorage also! Dimond High School what about you?

What is a key club?

Someone asked this question before (key club) but I don’t remember the answer. It doesn’t sound very interesting - that’s all I remember.

My school’s registration starts tomorrow! wheee!

Key club is the biggest club at my school next to CSF. In my school, Key Club has over 140 active members. It is basically a community service club.

@FremontBoy yes NCSSM is just for North Carolina residents . . . Sorry :/

At least I’m taking AP World next year…but it seems most freshmen have already taken it. (my school doesnt allow freshmen to take AP)

I got to a pretty competitive public high school of about 2700 kids. At my school: Gifted > Honors > CP

Here is my schedule for next year:
Sophomore LA Gifted
Pre-Calculus Gifted
Spanish III Honors (Gifted is not offered)
Lunch
AP Environmental Science
AP World History
AP Chemistry

ECs:
Student Council (Class President)
Beta Club (Class Representative)

Science Olympiad

I have over 200 hours of volunteering this year alone, and my goal is to reach 800 hours by the time I graduate. All this and maintaining a 4.0 GPA - kill me now.

I still don’t know how to find class rank.

@nomatterwhat: Talk to your counselor, usually they are the ones with that information.

My school is really apathetic towards academics so nobody really cares about class rank nor do anyone besides seniors and a couple of curious people know their class rank. But it turns out you can get it by talking to the counselors.
