High School Class of 2015

^ Are you kidding me it’s the best thing alive.
HAHAHA yeah, it is, but whatever, it’s really sweet. Our version has like the history and timeline of dancing or whatever. We get tested on things like that. No joke.

Wow. Tests on dancing. Are the tests hard?

Nah. It’s not even timed, so you can cheat all you want and google away.
Like I said, best thing ever. :’)

I usually just screw around doing gym. It is more like free time for me. Gives me a time to chill and talk with friends.

Haha I wish our gym class was like that. These are real quotes from my teacher…

“You didn’t bend your left arm enough on these push-ups!”

“We’re going to run across the school hallways and back. Ten times. If we catch up to you, you get a zero.”

“Fun? This is Lifetime Personal Fitness! It shouldn’t be fun!”

Yeah…

My gym teacher talks a LOT. I remember some guy grinding her a few months back and we were all laughing. She didn’t know what was going on.

I have to take gym next summer. I hate that!

We don’t have an option of a summer PE.
You have to take 1.5 credits but if you play a sport you only have to take 1. I don’t play a sport so I have to do another semester of PE.

Also a question- what am I going to do about ECs. I am literally the typical high school overachiever. My ECs are so cookie cutter and I have no clue what to do to set myself apart

@Hobbit, Your PSAT is great! can you give details - math, cr, etc.? I haven’t taken PSAT yet. It’ll be in Oct. I guess. I’m hoping to do well. I took SAT in 8th grade, got about 1900, don’t remember the details. math was 610, I remember. I hope to raise that up, big way.

I think your ECs are great too.

so you’ll take AP chem next year? Cool! So will I. I will take APUSH instead of AP world.

UGHHH i need to raise my math SAT score . . . it’s like a 600 . . . but i consistently get 670 - 690 in reading comp and writing >.< UGHH . . . i need to break a 700 SOMEWHERE before the end of sophomore year because i’m applying to a residential highschool here in North Carolina. (NCSSM - North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics) I keep getting 1960’s 1980’s . . . i need a 2000 to feel comfortable in admissions season next year :frowning: . . . Any tips? Advice?

NCSSM has like a 22% acceptance rate.

Any other North Carolinians here? :D

I’m a North Carolinian class of 2015 lol XD. As for your chances for NCSSM I’m not sure because I’ve heard many different things about how NCSSM accepts applicants. I guess the only advice I have is to work hard! XD

@papamula are you applying?

Hey what classes is everyone signing up for?
I will have:
AP Environmental Science
AP Psychology
AP Biology
AP something else
Honors English II
Pre Calculus honors
German II
nternship at hospital
over 250 hours of volunteer

Might apply for NCSSM not sure yet.

Hey! I’m taking AP WH, Trig, Eng 10-11, Chem, Spanish 3 and Latin 1. I’m also taking an outside of school Math Research class (basically you do a project, which me and my friend who is taking it will probably do over the summer, and submit it into competitions and get one credit). All of the classes are honors, which at my school is the same curriculum as regular regents classes, but at a faster-pace (I think).

Anyone doing any SATII’s this year? I’m taking Bio. Hoping for an 800, but of course that’s what everyone’s hoping for!

I’m taking the Biology SATII also! I really hope I get an 800. I’m pretty confident.

next year:
AP Psych (online)
AP Human Geography
AP Earth and Enviro
Honors PreCalc
Honors Civ & Econ
Honors Spanish 3
Honors PLTW Human Body Systems
Honors Chemistry
Honors English 2

1960 S.A.T score . . . shooting for 2000 by next year for my application >.<

@mizico, there’s a lot of APs! Good for you!
